Michigan has identified a need for new power generation1

The State of Michigan requires additional baseload generation – reliable, low-cost facilities that operate year round.  These baseload needs were identified in the recently published 21st Century Energy Plan by the Michigan Public Service Commission which explored future energy needs for Michigan. In addition to the state-wide need, industry in Midland and the surrounding area are in need of additional sources of reliable, low-cost steam and electricity to sustain ongoing operations and attract new investment.
